Composite Helical Pipe Pile - 250,000 pounds

The "Helical Pier" for Gumbo Soils

Introducing Dixie's new Composite Helical Pipe Pile (CHPP) which can handle up to 250 Kips. This Dixie exclusive pier combines the best of a helical pier (end bearing loading) with an 8" Pipe Pile (skin friction loading).

The composite tip consist of helixes which when installed by a hydraulic motor screws the 8" pipe pile into the soft soils of Lake Bonneville.

The advantages are:
  • Proven in the soft soils of the east and west coast
  • Lower cost than concrete or pile driven foundations
  • Very fast installation
  • No excavation
  • No soil removal (no spoils)
  • Installs in limited access sites
  • No water pumping in high water table areas
  • Pipe section can be filled with concrete or grout
  • Greater lateral capacity than helical piers
  • Greater tension capacity than pipe piles

A-1 Helical Piering is the northern Utah dealer and installer of this radical design along with round cornered square (RCS) helical piers which are rated to 100,000 pounds of ultimate load and have an International Commercial Code Legacy Approval.
