Indication of Foundation MovementThe following are signs that a foundation has moved or is unstable:

Foundation Repair
Damaged or sinking foundations can be repaired and the sinking stopped by installing helical piers to the existing slab or the foundation's footing. To raise a sinking foundation only the soil at the pier site is removed to expose the failing foundation. The appropriate pier(s) are installed next to the footing. Hydraulic jack raise the foundation back in place. A permanent support bracket is installed and the soil is replaced. Advantages are:
- Minimal site impact
- Predictable holding capacity
- Quick installation
- Lower cost than replacement
- Works with limited access
